I should be a star machine but...

It washes well and is a work horse. The biggest flaw is that if clothes are off balance in teh machine the machine will overflow during the spin cycle and cause a mess in your laundry room...and no warning or alarm. So... not good for upper level laundry rooms. I read multiple reviews after I bought it and found I am not alone. You really have to spend some time in ensuring the clothes are put in according to instructions... a front load would be better. And for some cycles when you think you would want an extra high spin because of the weight of the clothes.... its not an option for some cycles. This problem has been around for awhile and Im surprised it has not been addressed.

Washes Great but a Technical Flaw

This is our 2nd LG washer. The first one last 5 years before rust appeared in the top panel. A replacement panel was not available for repair. We purchased the current one almost 2 yrs ago. And once again rust in the same exact place. Caught it before the warranty was out and this time a replacement panel was available. The machine should last a lot longer. Careless manufacturing. Not sure we will purchase LG again.

We called Best Buy and the answer was totally bad they did not care and it was just not acceptable . We called LG and everything changed they took care of all immediately with no charge. I bought this 8 months ago. Due to shortage i wanted them to be ready to install when I was done with a remodel. A month ago I started using them. They dont wash good. White cloths are stained when they come out of washer. No matter what detergent we use. I bought this 5.2 CUFT washer so I could wash my king size blankets. But the machine doesnt give out enough water to agitate and wash the blanket. Over all Im upset cuz now I cant even return them.

New style of washer without the agitator in the middle. The washer drum is huge My wife needs a step stool to reach the bottom. Works great and we love it. The interactive LG app is a great feature. I am waiting for the legs to arrive. Without the legs in the back of the washer the washer is shaky and moves a lot during operation but overall the function of the washing machine is great. Weve done some work around the house and having dust on our socks all that dust washed away.

We bought this almost 3 years ago. My wife wanted a large capacity washer and this was on sale with ok reviews at the time. It is supposed to be auto load sensing which I hate as it seems to use the same amount of water if we have only a couple items in it or it is full. Wish it would have a manual program for small load. At 60 gallons of water a load it uses almost 3 times the amount of water of other similar washers but does not do a very good job cleaning. It does not really have an agitator so the clothes just sort of get moved back and forth a bit. For work clothes or heavily soiled items it does a poor job. That having been said I has been reliable so far and we have had no issues.

Does not work if you have a well for water. Gave the IE code when running a Tub Clean cycle nothing but water in tub. After 2 months of trying to get LG to fix it they sent a repair person that basically talked down to my 76 yr. old mother and acted as if she had never used a washer before in her life. The Dryer has issues too. Steer clear of both products

Smartest device I have ever bought

It is humbling to admit that this washer is smarter than I am I love the features and the options that this machine provides. The capacity on this washer is huge and I can see myself washing blankets comforters and other large items in the future. Maybe the feature I like most is that the machine defaults to normal and I can just hit the button and off it goes with predetermined settings. I havent bought a brand new washing machine in over 40 years and when I walk into the laundry room these devices put a smile on my face because they are so stylish and well designed.

Ive had this washer right over 2 1/2 years and its worked exactly as described and is aesthectically pleasing. My big issue is that for a machine that was built to wash clothes using WATER should not be rusting at this point in its life cycle we are a family of 3 and it is not overused. Especially at this price point. My previous washer from a competitor lasted over 10 years with zero signs of rust. I did not purchase the extended warranty on this product and LG has decided that Ive owned it long enough to warrant not trying to repair or replace the washer. Due to the rusting issue I would not recommend purchasing this model.

Great Washing Machine but lid hits cabinets

I purchased this washing machine about a month ago and love it. Originally thought all I needed was a basic washer/dryer combo but after researching found LG had good reliability data. When checking pricing at various stores it was apparent Costco prices couldnt be beat so I ended up with a pair with more features than I was looking for. Both the Wi-Fi and number of washing modes has proven very convenient. Washing my clothes has actually become fun. My only complaint is the lid. The entire surface is lid such that when you open the lid it hits the wall cabinets and sometimes will not stay open. The older style machines the lid was much smaller and when opened didnt hit the wall cabinet. Thats why I downgraded this from 5 starts to 4. I think the design engineers need to take into account many homes will have wall cabinets above the top load washer and dryers. Lids when opened need to fit under them.

I think the water level is too low at times

I bought this washer 3 months ago. The only complaint is that when using the normal setting the water level seems too low to get the clothes washed properly. And you cant adjust the water level. If I select Water Plus feature it automatically goes into the Deep Wash mode

Cleans well and holds a lot of clothes

Works great but was kind of weird that I had to Wifi enable to use delay start and then I have to manually set delay. Also dispenser are in weird area and kind of cheapy feeling. No oxi clean dispenser. Needs a towel and sheet setting.

Great Washer

So far I have no complaints whatsoever on this washer. Ordering was great delivery setup were excellent. I wanted a bigger washer and I switched from a front loader to a top loader 5.5 cuft. from a 4.3. Its only my husband and I and we barely fill it up but we want to be able to wash a King size light comforter and this works great. We have the matching Dryer too.

Good machine but not great

I bought this machine and I had high hopes. I like the size the absence of a center agitator and the fact you dont have to select a water level. But the settings I have found to be somewhat misleading. Sooo I find myself choosing the cycle that gives me the water temp I want and the spin speed I want as opposed to putting the cycle that is listed with the knob selection.

Good machine cleans well but noisy

Bought this washer and matching dryer in February. It washes well and we are pleased with the performance but it is noisy and the bedding cycle was so loud that we had to call for service. Turns out that the legs should have been extended during installment so the bottom of the motor doesnt grind into the drip pan when the drum is loaded such as during the bedding cycle. Easy fix.

I have had trouble with this machine from day one. I know how to load clothes in a washer. However the way this machine is designed it literally tosses the load out of balance causing terrible vibrations on the spin cycle. It is very noisy. I have always bought LG appliances and have been pleased. After this I am not sure I will purchase anything else from LG.

Works well. Incredibly huge bin Like the window on the door. Dont like how unless the door is pushed totally open it falls on my head I am sure once I understand all the features by looking online I will like it even more as it is dizzying to me Single male. Love the gray color. Does put some clothes in a very twisted shape as other reviewers stated but it does not seem to hurt them as far as I can tell.

Trouble with on power button

I bought the LG top load washer and shortly after purchasing I had trouble getting it to power up. The circuit board was replaced under warranty. Just this past week May 2022 once again same issue. Under extended warranty I purchased the board was replaced. It lasted 2 days. They are coming back now to replace computer. Hope that does it. Do not recommend due to power on issues.
