I love my new stove/oven from LG. I bought this before Thanksgiving. Lowes had a great sale and its beautiful. The oven is actually blue love it. Im not real fond of the rubber trim around the entire stove top. Any kind of debris gets stuck on it and you have to really work at it to get it off .

Oven Started On Fire

I bought this oven just over 2 years ago. We had some chicken nuggets in the oven set to 350 one Friday night and noticed a weird smoke coming from the back of the range. We decided this was not normal and pulled the oven away from the wall. The wall was burnt and the oven was actively burning due to an electrical fire. We poured water down the back to stop the active fire. We took the oven outside immediately and left it in the driveway. I then reported this to LG. It took over a week to have a service tech out. He determined the fire started due to a bad heating element. He seemed willing to repair but since there was additional fire damage to the unit including a bad board due to having to put the fire out the unit is no longer repairable and we did not want the faulty unit back in our house. LG refuses to call me to discuss a solution they only send me text message once a week starting a conversation then ghost us for a week before the next reply. Everytime I call they tell me this is an outbound problem and I have called the inbound line. I suggest you save your hard earned money and go with a different oven

Have owned this oven/range for 8 months and have had nothing but problems including a faulty burner that caused a pot to melt and adhere to the glass cooktop ruining the cooktop large chips in the enamel on the inside of the oven the finish/covering on the glass cooktop wearing off after just a couple weeks of normal use. LG support has repeatedly told me that these issues are all cosmetic and not covered under the warrantee.

I bought this range in a bundle deal at Home Depot. My wife and I actually paid additional upgrade to this particular model. The numbers have all faded out while cleaning it. We bought this about 2 years ago. The wire connection started burning. We contacted LG Service. They said that because it was a safety issue theyd do it parts and labor free and gave us a confirmation#. The service person never showed up and one time service was cancelled because he didnt show up for work. The customer service department said an area manager would call but we never received a call. Will be telling everyone about his experience. We had to go out and buy a new one and no its not an LG.

Have had the appliance for 2 months. A couple weeks after install the left front triple burner had only one heat setting and that was 100 HI. We couldnt figure out why that particular burner was scorching the food and cookware. Had to contact LG for service appointment. They delivered the spare/replacement parts before the service tech arrived to see the issue or diagnose so this tells me that this is a known issue with this model.

I do not like that both front burners have multiple size options - that limits the heat options - would prefer one large burner with all the heating/temperature options. also the oven takes a long time to heat up and then is not at the temperature set. Oven temperature is quite variable. like the oven air fryer like the large size of even.

We are very pleased with the way the stove and oven works. We noticed that the oven temperature regulates more uniformly as compared to the previous range-oven we had. The Self Clean is a Self Destruct

The Self Clean is a Self Destruct - The self clean got the oven so hot that it burnt out the thermostat and back panel. If you try and use the oven now some of the wires in the back begin to emit smoke and there are visible scorch marks on the ovens backside that faces the wall. This is an extreme fire hazard. We stopped using the oven and just used the stove top. After a month the LED panel started to go out. The last straw is that the electric burner areas now heat up to max and stay on even if you keep it on low. Low = extreme heat. This oven is a disaster. I would recommend that no one ever buys an LG. Why put in an option where the self clean gets so intensely hot that it destroys the oven? I looked around online and apparently this is a common issue. That means LG knows about it but did nothing. An email warning not to use the self clean would have been nice. I feel like LG owes me an oven. We used the self clean just after our 1 year warranty ran out... $1000 for 13 months of using an oven is a bit extreme. Buyer beware

Get the extra warranty LG has decided to integrate the main bake elements onto the main control board. Everytime a relay goes out you must replace the entire board part alone is almost $200. Less than two years old and have had to replace the temp sensor and control board.

A 20 lb turkey caused the rack to collapse while pulling the turkey out and and caused serious burns on the forearm. Poor and/or lazy engineering to build a range that collapses under a 20lb turkey. We originally had a Frigidaire electric range that had run its course and we ended up going with the LG electric range with air fry. Its our first LG and honestly? Im absolutely in love with it. First the size of the oven was what sold me on the LG it has three racks and tons of room which I need bc I love to bake and cook. The inside of the oven is definitely a wow factor with the color-it shows how much attention to detail that was put into this range. The knock twice feature turns the oven light on while the door is closed- is as useful as it is fun-if you think you wont use it guess again because I didnt think I would either and I doa lot. There is a proofing feature on the oven that Ive used more than 10 times-we bake more with this feature since we dont have to wait as long for the yeast to rise or the dough to double in size. The air fry feature is amazing and incredibly convenient to not have to take out the portable one find counter space plug it in etc the keep warm was another new to me feature that I really appreciate. The convection roast was another feature that was new to me that I use a lot. The food cooks and bakes so much faster with the LG range. The stovetop is beautiful and cleans so easily which I really love. The different size for pot options is so convenient and there is a Ultraheat power boil that works impeccably-was surprised at how quick it actually is. If you are deciding what range to get I would say you cant go wrong with LG and this range has been used so much already because it works so flawlessly. Its easy to use with plenty of features that you need and nothing that you dont. I wish I had it sooner.

I wish I had done more research-I do not like the black glass top. If you have a pan on the burner and move it a little-will scratch the top. Have to lift and move even if it is for a millimeter of an inch The dials on the top are hard to read-print need to be darker. However it is better than my old gas stove.

Horrible service from LG. Stove was delivered with lop sided burner that was pointing downward. Obviously a manufacturer defect. We have called LG several times without any resolution. Initially were told it wasnt affecting the stove. Excuse me but yes it is. Everytime we call they request the same pictures over and over again the serial number over and over again and a copy of the receipt over and over and over again. Nothing gets done. Then we are told they will expedite getting someone to fix it. All we get is another text saying the same thing. Latest is that there is no LG person in the area to service it. Again bogus pathetic service. Every place in this town sells LG appliances. Maybe they should stop selling their products with this non existent pathetic service

The cooktop heats quickly and evenly. Otherwise I have not been able to enjoy my range as it arrived damaged and the oven door isnt shutting completely. The pull out drawer is also broken. It seems this range is flimsy. More importantly the customer service is SO BAD at LG I cannot recommend purchasing this - if there is a problem you can expect many many hours on the phone being passed from person to person without resolution and eventually they tell you they will get back to you - but they dont. Pay attention to the 1 star reviews. Note: I purchased this directly from LG along with the extended warranty and paid for delivery. The range arrived damaged. The delivery person said they submitted photos of the damage to LG. I followed up with LG within the 14 day return window after not receiving any messaging about it. They let me know it was covered by warranty and arranged for service. The service person said it was most likely dropped and that it isnt repairable. I followed up several times with LG and was told they were waiting on a report and then they could refund/replace it. Eventually I was told that they would not refund/replace it as it wasnt within the return window. I am very happy with the purchase of the oven. We really like the way the oven works and we can see the status of the oven online. The only one thing that my husband does not like the knobs the way they designed some need to be to right and some need to be turn to the left to put on high heat.

Love this new stove

Ive been waiting for months to get a new stove and Id been looking at LG ones. This one was on sale $100 less now than several months ago so I decided to go ahead and get it. Im so glad I did It heats up a little faster than my old Samsung one that had problems right away. Dont know if Ill ever use the Smart features but I love everything else about it. Its a little hard at first to figure out the burners and which rings youre heating but trial and error does it.

Brand new Stove defective they refuse to refund.

I bought stove about 3 months ago now. Ive been trying to get refund for well over a month. Unit is defective and overheating. They refuse to give me a refund just keep sending repairmen out and that takes couple weeks each time. Will never buy another lg product

Cleaning cycle broke my oven.

We have had this oven for about a month shy of 2 years. About a month ago the racks started falling out of their slots. I am now only able to use the bottom two and top 1 slots. This makes baking rather challenging as there is too much heat on the bottom of the product. This also makes it so we cannot use the air fry function in the oven anymore. We tried chatting with tech support and their solution was for us to Buy new racks for our less than 2 year old oven. We were told it is not uncommon for the racks to no longer fit after using the self cleaning cycle. What have a feature that Regularly ruins the function of the oven. Im very disappointed with the lack of longevity on this oven and the poor support from the company.

My stove top has melted spots. Warranty lady told me I have to use special cookware. I only use the types in manual but lady say repairs are on me. Do not buy from LG. Warranty is basically nil and stove is defective. Never had a flat stovetop melt before. This is what manual says: The pans must have a flat bottom and straight sides. Only use heavy-gauge pans. The pan size must match the amount of food to be prepared and the size of the surface element. Use tight fitting lids. DUH

DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT My oven doesnt work properly so I cant bake with it. Im so disappointed. I want my old beat up 15 year old oven back. Or the one I owned in Indonesia that wasnt supposed to be good. I dont recommend this brand if you wish to bake or cook with your oven. It either overcooks things or undercooks things. A guy came twice to check the temperature but he said the average temperature was correct. So apparently if youre cooking anything more than eight minutes youre going to get bad results. Ive always loved LG products but apparently they dont know how to build ovens.
